Supporting a Good Cause

As parents we believe that it is important for children to see beyond themselves. That is why on Friday Penny participated in her first Terry Fox run with the school. For 45 minutes Mom, Dad, Penny and the rest of the school walked around the loop in support of the the vision and efforts of Terry Fox. Of course all the students loved to walk with Penny and tell her how cute she is.

For supper the family along with Neil and Pam went to Clamdiggers in Georgetown. The seafood was amazing: fish, scallops, chowder and mussels. Penny had a great time. She had a little nap and then turned on the smiles for everyone to enjoy. Saturday was the school's Golf Tournament. Dad and Grandpa joined up with Leigh and Al in a best ball event. There were some good shots and some not so good shots. It should be noted that Grandpa carried his weight by draining a 12 foot birdie put. Penny was impressed. Mom, Grandma and Penny joined the boys for the BBQ afterward. The evening was spent watching the Riders. The boys won again. Grandpa and Penny sat together on the couch watching the game. Penny was able to gain great insight into the skill levels of the players from Grandpas commentary.
