Happy New Year

Penelope would like to wish all of you a Happy New Year. What a year it has been. Of course the highlight has been the addition of Penny to the Biech family. Though Jason and Martina's lives have changed a lot over the year, they would not change a single thing. The joy of going through the pregnancy, the birth and then the daily changes of their little girl has been such a blessing. God is good and He continues to bless our family. As we enter 2011 Penny is now four and a half months old. She is beginning to grab and hold different items. She is very close to rolling over and is a little jabber box. Soon she will be eating food other than milk. In the upcoming year Penny will continue to give all of us lasting memories as she begins to crawl, walk and then of course say DADDY!! Thank you to each of you who has supported Jason and Martina over the last few years. We are truly blessed to have each of you in our lives. I guess we can only wait and see what 2011 has for each of us.

Over the past week the fam has bee doing al kinds of visiting. One of their favorite moments was visiting with friends who have a toddler Reid and twin girls Avery and Morgan. Penny and the girls had the same sleepers so off course a photo shoot took place. Also Kennedy made Penny a little pig. The pigs name is Penny the Pig.

Merry Christmas

Santa has made his rounds again for another year and he sure didn't miss Penny. Penny was blessed by so many generous family members this year. She has a bunch of new outfits and some pretty cool toys that make all kinds of funky noises. On Christmas Eve the family went to church where Grandma got to show off her new little girl. Then it was to Auntie Cherilee's for perogies, sausage and candy cane ice cream. After that Penny turned on her charm and opened all kinds of presents. This morning the family slepted in and then had a family lunch. After that was stocking time. Penny sure enjoyed what Santa brought her. Now it is time for a little rest before heading out again to a family function. Penny wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.

Now That's a Road Trip

Our little Penny is quite the traveller. Yesterday she travelled over have the country to visit her grandparents in Saskatchewan. She was a little trooper as she went up and down three times on the airplane along with a five hour lay over in Toronto. Penny spent most the day in Mommy's arms and slept on every flight. She gave lots of smiles to all the other passengers and especially the stewardesses. By the time Penny arrived in Regina she was a little tired and worn out from the day. However she still had lots of smiles and cuddles for Grandma and Grandpa. Doug, Cherilee, Mackie and Kennedy got to see Penny for the first time and were amazed at how adorable she is. Even Auntie Jean and Uncle Albert showed up to the airport to give Penny a grand welcoming. Today was catch up sleep day and some good prairie pizza. Hopefully Penny will get lots of rest tonight as tomorrow is Christmas Eve and that means presents.

Today cousin Mackie talked to Mrs. Claus on the radio and asked if Santa would find Penny even though she is out in Regina. Mrs. Claus assured her that Santa would have no problem locating where Penny is. Penny was quite excited to hear that!!Penny and Auntie Cherilee meeting for the first time

Tis the Season

Trees are decorated, lights are hung, presents are wrapped and goodies have been baked. It has been a busy week in the Biech household. Penny has been working hard this week to get ready for Christmas. She has even been helping mom out in the kitchen with some baking. She has also been modeling some of her Christmas outfits when she heads out for different celebrations.

This weekend started off with a great breakfast at the Thompson's and then the family headed up west to have their Pridham Christmas. Uncle Lance and Meredith were home for the weekend also so Penny had a blast hanging out with them. Uncle Lance got Penny the Night before Christmas story book and Meredith got Penny a little giraffe named Sophie. It is perfect for her little hands. With lots of family around and great food, Penny entertained everyone with her sweet smiles. Jason, Martina and Penny got to open their presents from the Pridham side of the family. Lets just say Christmas got off to a great start. Next it is off to Grandma and Grandpas.

Four Months Today

Today is a big day in the Biech house as Penelope is four months old today. It is incredible how fast the months go by. It only seems like yesterday that Penny came into this world. Thank you for this wonderful little child. December has arrived and with it so has all the celebrations. Penny has been growing like a weed and is counting down the sleeps till she gets to see Grandma and Grandpa. Martina has been Christmas shopping and decorating the house. Last night Martina played the keyboard for the church's live event and tonight we are going to a Christmas Cantata. It is a good thing that Penny has a number of Christmas outfits for all the outings. She loves the warm and fuzzy outfits that have been given to her. They will certainly be used in the frigid prairies.

Dealing with the Loss

Yes I know it has been some time since our last post. Part of the problem is that Jason and Penny are still dealing with the Rider's defeat at the hands of Montreal for a second consecutive year. Penny was so excited for the game and even picked out her Rider cheer leading outfit. She was so into the game that by half time he outfit was all wet from sweating and cheering. Like the rest of Rider nation, the Biech's are working through these difficult days and will be ready for another season in 2011. Penny's father had to wait until he was sixteen to taste the sweet victory of the Rider's winning the Grey Cup. Penny has told her dad that she does not think she can wait that long. Believe Penny Believe!!

This past weekend was huge for another reason, Great Grandfather celebrated his 80th birthday. He had a great time and was surprised by Brittany and Paul coming home for the celebration. There was a big party at the Pridham's house on Saturday night, with close to 70 people there. Penny had a blast being passed around from person to person.

For Papa this was an exciting and moving time. This was the first time he has seen Penny since the day after she was born. He definitely cherished each moment he had with her. Martina and Jason are so thankful for the families they have.
Each have modeled what it means to be a true loving Godly family with priorities in the right place. Penny is lucky to have each one of you as part of her life.
