Does it Get Any Better Than This?

Penny is certainly enjoying her time is Florida. The problem is that it is almost time to go home. Penny is definitely a little beach bum. She visited both Coccoa Beach and Clearwater beach. As you can see from the pics she loves the water and the sun. Other than that the family has gone shopping, out to eat a few times, watched a preseason baseball game and Jason got out golfing a few times. This trip has gone by quite fast but it has been good. Before we know it, it will be Monday and back at work. Tomorrow Penny gets to go on another 36hr road trip.

Penny enjoyed her time down south with Aunt Donna and Uncle Lee. Auntie Brit's dog Chica still doesn't know what to think about Penny.

Soaking Up the Sun

Yes the Biech's are in Florida. The road trip of all road trips is complete and now we are basking in the sun. The past two days have been 85. Penny is enjoying the weather and has been smiling and laughing at everyone who will give her the time of day.
She is quite the traveler. She spent most of the way down sleeping or entertaining herself. Of course there were some times of crying but probably anybody who was confined to a car seat for 36 hours straight would fuss a bit.

Today was Penny's first trip to Sea World. She was absolutely adorable. She watched three shows; dolphins and birds, Clyde and Seamore the sea lions and of course Shamu. She also enjoyed all the exhibits like the penguins, manatees, stingrays and baby dolphins. When ever someone talked to her she gave them a big smile and laughed. We think that some of the people sitting around use enjoyed the show Penny put on more than the animals. She loved her stroller and had time for a few power naps. Jason wanted to take her the roller coasters but they really do enforce the height restriction rules.

The Week That Was

It just seems like yesterday Jason started another class. Hard to believe that eight weeks has passed already. This past week has been all about getting ready for March Break. Yes the Biech's are about to embark on another road trip. This one will be a little longer than a couple of hours or a flight across the country. Penny is about to spend 30 plus hours straight driving to Florida. It should be interesting to see how she does.

Last Saturday Martina and Penny went up west to visit Nana and see the family. This gave Jason some peace and quiet and finish his class. Then during the week Penny visited the school to hang out with the students during winter carnival. She did her best to dress up and show some school pride. Now all that's left is one more sleep. Hurray for road trips!!!!

Not sure how this works for St. Patty's Day but at least Penny has her green on. Just a little tight around the middle.

Snow Fest 2011

Some of you are probably wondering why there has not been a post in a few week, it has a little bit do do with work, school and the constant shoveling from all storms we are having. Who needs to go to the gym when you have to shovel snow over your head for hours every few days. Penny on the other hand has been having a great time living life, entertaining whoever will look at her and trying new food.As you can see from the photos she isn't a big fan of apples yet. Martina and Penny went swimming for the first time last Friday. Penny was a little fish. She loved the water. No pictures allowed in the pool so you will have to wait for the Florida pictures to see Penny in her Bikini.

The snow this winter is crazy. The snow days are great but everyone is ready for winter to be over. Still we would rather have lots of snow than temperatures in the minus forties. Last night the Biech's headed up west because Jason had to do research for a class. They took one of the roads to Nana and Papa's house. As you can see it was a wall of snow. No long in Jason looked over at Martina and said where is the road? She replied right there. The picture shows the road completely covered. So the family had to back up turn around and take another road. This was a couple of days after the last storm. Scary thing is the weather man is calling for another 20-30cm of snow this weekend.

Daddy's Little Valentine

Monday was a special day as Jason got the opportunity to spend Valentine's Day with his two girls. Cards were given with lots of hugs, kisses and laughs. Nana came down on the weekend so Martina and Jason were able to go out for supper. So on Valentines Day the family supported the school by attending a spaghetti dinner. Penny got all dolled up and they had a great time with friends. Penny definitely has the ability to put a smile on people's face.

Look At Me, I am Six Months Old

My How she has grown!

Where does time go? Penny is already a half a year old. Each week she seems to grow a bit and interact with the world around her even more. Considering how much she is eating now, it is know wonder she is putting on some weight. She is reaching for everything and loves to listen to music and watch sports (Daddy is so proud). Penny has quite the personality and turns it on when she is around people with big smiles. It won't be long before she is crawling, standing up and even walking.

What a better way to celebrate a six month birthday than a road trip. Nana, Martina and Penny headed up west on Saturday morning to visit some of the relatives. Unfortunately Jason had to stay home and work on his course. The first stop was at Nanny and Pappy's house where Penny told all kinds of stories and had a little lunch. She was so interested in the food that she reached out and grabbed a big handful of potatoes off Martina's plate.

After lunch the girls went to Aunt Steph's where Mariah and Penny serenaded everyone with a beautiful song on the piano. Then it was time to visit Grand Daddy and Grammie June. Penny displayed some of her strength by standing up for them. Of course leaning on the couch helped a bit.

More fun entailed as the girls then headed over to Moncton to watch uncle Colby and the Huskies play U of Moncton. Uncle Colby had two goals and the Huskies won 4-1 clinching second place in the AUS. After the game Penny spent some quality time with her uncle. Sitting up and giving lots of smiles. It was then time to come home. Penny slept the whole way home. It was quite a day.

Snow Day Part II

Got to love it when forecaster's say there is a blowing snow warning. That is music to a teacher's ears. Over the last day the Island has been hit with another storm that brought a bunch of snow and high winds. The announcement was made early this morning that there was no school today, so Jason got to spend another day at home with his girls. This was an eventful day filled with snow shoveling, playing in the snow, eating good food, playing games and of course some rest. Penny is doing all kinds of new things like sleeping on her belly, sitting up(at least a minute at a time), playing in the snow and even trying new foods like toast and peas.

Speaking of peas, Martina decided to put her culinary skills into action and whipped up some peas for Penny to try. They were so bright green, Jason named them Rider Peas. Penny wasn't overly thrilled by them. They must of had quite a punch on her taste buds. Since it was a snow day, here is a little photo shoot of the star attraction.

Seriously Mom, this is what you are going to feed me?
